We've done a lot of research into this, and unfortunately the answer is no. We cannot solve that issue with coding because it is a web browser issue. Most web browsers prevent sounds from playing automatically from video or audio files without a click to initiate sound. This protects users from having unwanted sounds play while they're surfing the Internet during a meeting or while out in public.

The solution to this issue is to purchase the book for use on an Amazon Kindle or Apple Books device where the sounds are embedded to automatically play with each page turn.

If you're using a print version with QR code access to sounds, you may find that your littlest ones become distracted from the story by the sounds coming from your smartphone. In that case, it helps to hold the phone out of sight behind the book.
