What formats are StorySound publications available in?

Accepted Answer

StorySound titles are available in print and digital formats.

Paperback versions include QR code access to accompanying audio sounds from your phone or other devices.

Our titles can also be purchased  and downloaded in digital ebook format accessible via Kindle devices. (They may not work on Kindle apps for iOS, but they'll soon be available on Apple Books.)

Both versions are currently available on Amazon.

Is there a way to make sounds advance and play automatically in the print/QR code version?

We've done a lot of research into this, and unfortunately the answer is no. We cannot solve that issue with coding because it is a web browser issue. Most web browsers prevent sounds from playing automatically from video or audio files without a click to initiate sound. This protects users from having unwanted sounds play while they're surfing the Internet during a meeting or while out in public.

The solution to this issue is to purchase the book for use on an Amazon Kindle or Apple Books device where the sounds are embedded to automatically play with each page turn.

Which format do you recommend for children ages 0-3?

If you're using a print version with QR code access to sounds, you may find that your littlest ones become distracted from the story by the sounds coming from your smartphone. In that case, it helps to hold the phone out of sight behind the book.

May I return a book for a refund if I am dissatisfied with the quality?
